After the vacations, a new school year begins. Back to work, back to school; or as some call it, back to routine.
The fact is that September usually brings changes. At school, we have changes of course, classmates, teachers, subjects, etc. But also at work. Although we continue in our same position, September brings fresh energy, brings the reencounter with colleagues and brings new resolutions as a new year. The vacation break has left us time to think, to visualize how we want the future to be in our daily lives. This future may include learning a new language, joining the gym, changing strategy with a client or trying to tackle a new project. It’s time to get into it with the energy that the summer break has given us. We talk about all this when a new year begins, but shouldn’t we also talk about it when a new academic year begins?
In my case, this year September brings all that and much more. It brings new challenges, new colleagues and the gift of a new book.
Since September 1st my latest book “Transformación digital mediante cloud” is available. It explains how the cloud can serve as an instrument for digital transformations. The book presents techniques to focus on specific business focuses and through examples, it shows the reader that the cloud is just a tool to help us in the transformation. Transformation involves much more than just technology and how to approach these cases. As we have already mentioned, technology in itself does not add value to the business. (See book excerpt)
It is nice to see how previous books appear in thesis bibliographies or in comments, or to receive contact from some of the readers to ask questions or explain their experiences.
